UPDATES** on Jurlique Products

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

A Merry Good Morning to everyone..festive season is getting closer now..like I promised before that I will blog on the progress of using Jurlique products. Shall we?! :)

My first purchase practically did not work for me as the moisturizer not hydrating enough for me. Caused me redness getting worse and dried flaky skin with very uncomfortable tightness. So, I went back to the shop to get consulted again. This time, I bought my 2nd purchase consisting :- Calendular Cream and Calendular Lotion. Cream would replace the lighter version of moisturizer which did not work on me and the Lotion was suppose to treat congested or pimples area by using cottonpad. I found the Lotion is working great on my skin as it de-congested my congested area..:) Plus, it helps on redness and sensitivity of skin. Barely a month, I had used up to half a bottle and it costed me RM200-300/btl. Cream comes in huge tube and since only use pea size, it made it cheaper than the Lotion as both around the same price. After shifting to Cream, my skin is much soothed from previous tightness and dry-ness.

BUT, I did not give this brand a second chance long enough..hehehe..being the itchy butt girl, I ventured into another brand which the shop is right opposite Jurlique shop, it is called EMINENCE (sole distributor: My Beauty Cottage in Malaysia). I will blog about Eminence in my next blog later.

Let's move on to Jurlique Facial Spa:- My first visit was relatively pampering and the outcome was refreshed and relaxed. However, on my 2nd visit, it was not that promising. First, on my very first visit, I had told the manageress that I did not like machine type of facial, preferably natural by hands but I did acknowledge on the Oxygen machine for my package. My first facial therapist did carefully on my fragile skin skillfully which resulted me non bruised and comfortable after-facial session. Eventhough dealing with the Oxygen machine, she kindly avoided on my eye areas plus kept a distance from my face. Practically I did not feel uneasy except abit of water dripping at the sides which she handled wisely.

On my 2nd visit, was handled by another therapist. The extraction part was horrible. Throughout my facial, the only thing that left me scarred was PAIN. I became phobia to it..hahaha..after the session, the therapist asked me how I felt..I told her 1 word - PAIN. She felt embarrassed and had the gut to tell me it was suppose to be like that because congested. I was even more congested when I came for my first visit, right???!!Anyways, she used UV light machine for antiseptic and anti-bacterial. I am not sure what that machine is called though. I told her, my first visit the therapist did not use this on me and I requested pure facial not machine. She responded me by saying "Oh is a must for antiseptic purposes. Today your skin is much more congested" Well, FINE..moved on to Oxygen machine, not only did she did it around my eyes, she actually use the thing very closely to my face as I felt the thing poking my skin on off basis. I found myself having breathing difficulties too. Maybe I am a sinus person so I feel uncomfortable. So, byebye to Jurlique facial.

Conclusion: The products are so-so to me. As I do not continue after around 2 weeks, I cannot give a better review to it except I wasted loads of money to seek the proper products on my skin since the manageress has poor knowledge on determine what products suit me or not. And the 2nd facial really scares me to hell! A very important note is I do not break out when using Jurlique products. But, I find it hassle because need several steps on daily regimen. At least, was what the manageress told me that I need to use - mist, lotion, moisturizer, essential oil (which need to prepare a small glass bowl of water and drip 1-2 drops of the oil and use a cottonpad to soak it before applying onto face), sunblock. I will prefer simple 3-steps than to preparing this and that :)

H2o+ - Your Skin Needs of 8 glasses of water

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

Yes..Exactly, H2o+ is my alternative skincare to Eminence. H2o+ products are much and alot cheaper. Additionally, member gets 10% discounts on all products and 5% discounts on sets. It has collagen drink too. Member entitles to monthly promotion and for Jan 2014 - Buy 2 cleansers and get 2nd cleanser 50% off and Feb 2014 - Buy 2 boxes of collagen drink and get 3rd box free. So, I am going to snatch the collagen drink next month :)

A SHORT STINT WITH BOBBI BROWN

Let me briefly intro why I got myself involved with H2o+. I bought Bobbi Brown Hydrating series - Gel Cream moisturizer and Toner. Even though I felt good as in non oily, give a sheen look and yet non sticky, however, after using just a few days, red patches appeared. Is an allergy reaction to me. If you follow my blogs, you will come to Mary Kay post that also caused me allergy reaction. So, I stopped using Bobbi Brown and my allergy stopped and recovered.

H2O+

Since, I am an itchy hand girl (hehehe...likes experimenting new brands), I roamed the entire Gurney Plaza and eyed on H2o+ stand alone boutique and danced over to enquire :) Many years ago, when I had pimply face, I remembered I tried before H2o brand. Not like it. H20 with the + sign is their new re-branding and this year they have new packaging too. Surprisingly, just work well to my skin. I bought myself gift set of Oasis range. Is a hydrating products with transparent blue color with marine smell. Almost can pass as swimming pool or open ocean smell  and the color is exactly like un-polluted sea :)

The set comes with mist, hydrator booster, the infamous 8 glasses water moisturizer, eye stick and cleanser. I bought SPF30 Lotion as sunblock. I know I already have Eminence sunblock that can last me half a year or more..hehe..I just want to try it out. Cleanser - blue pearl color with beats..not much, but just nice for daily exfoliation wash. I use it at night only. Easy lathering up and no tight feeling after wash but skin feels smooth and clean and fresh too.

Mist - Acts as my toner. I just mist my face with this on cleansed skin. Hydrator Booster Serum - Gel texture at the bottom of the bottle with water above it - transparent blue. Shake before use to give it a good mixture before pump out 2 pumps on palm and blend with 2 palms before pressing gently on skin. Initially, the promoter recommended me to use only at night unless during day I feel not enough hydrated, I may use it day & night. I have been using this day & night, skin no longer feel dry or tight as I am in constant air-condition environment and I am naturally dehydrated skin. It gives a light sheen look. Skin no longer dull look.

Hydrating Treatment (the infamous moisturizer that claimed to give skin 8 glasses of water needs) - I extremely love this product. Is gel type with transparent blue and smells like sea. As moisturizer, apply after serum and spread evenly and lightly pat for skin absorption. Sheen look. Gives skin more luminous. Drawback, needs awhile for skin to absorb and lightly sticky too. But it does not clog pores neither oily. I suppose it keeps my skin hydrated, sebum tends to function less so my skin has less blackheads too. Plus, I notice my pores are not that visible. Skin abit plumps up from 8 glasses of water that skin needs. Especially so dehydrated skin like mine. No break out so far. Soothe my skin so my redness is not a problem. Keep my skin hydrated (maybe the booster serum helps too as it claims to work deep down our epidermis), so less sunburn effect.
As sleeping mask (treatment), after wash, I will mist alot on my skin then apply thickly of the treatment gel. It will not absorb as it is thick layer but it can dry up become abit sticky, just spread evenly and leave it - go to bed. In the morning, skin is refreshed and hydrated. No need to use cleanser in the morning, straight wash my face with running water. Surprisingly, non oily or greasy, easily wash and you can feel clean with no residue. Best of all, no break outs!! I do have break outs when I use Laneige Sleeping Pack, but H20+ treatment gel is not breaking me out. :) I have been using as treatment twice weekly.

Hydrating Lotion SPF30 - Initially I thought is a day moisturizer with spf. Will cut down my facial regime. Some people will use it singlely but I use it on top of my moisturizer. Recommended by the promoter. Blue cream texture and not oily. Just spread evenly and skin just drinks it. Lightly press for absorption. So far no break out also a good alternative to Eminence. Conclusion, skin sebum is controlled well. Skin hydrated so less problem and importantly keep my skin moist through out the day. I have been using H2o+ for 3 weeks now. Pricing ranging RM99 - 159.00. Oasis range. Matured skin products always cost more. Members get further discount so I personally feel this brand is worth trying.

I was given Night Oasis™ Oxygenating Rejuvenator, I use it as night moisturizer and day is the hydrating treatment gel. So far so good, I find this night moisturizer is better to use it at night than hydrating treatment. More hydration. A good one to use when sleeping under air-condition. No break out too. Night Oasis™ Overnight Eye Complex, use it daily at night. As I do not have problem on eye area so I do not know how fair this is. But I prefer this to stick. Is gel type also need awhile to absorb. Hydrating purpose so I suppose around eye area, skin will not feel dry and can help on lines prevention.

Happy Chinese New Year all!! May all have abundance of prosperity, health and wealth!! :)

Sisley & Herbal Himalaya

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

One is of very high end skincare brand VS economical brand. Sisley is from Paris while Himalaya originates from India. I spent too much on skincare for my beauty blogging purpose that I was kind of broke. hehehe... So I purchased Himalaya for trial. I bought Neem Wash, Moisturizing Lotion & Neem Mask. All for pimples prone skin. I suffered some hormones imbalance which resulted of sudden breakouts. I am still using Neem Wash - not that it is good but because I need to finish it off, otherwise, waste my money. I have been throwing or giving away my beauty stash that do not work out for me, hence, I do not want to throw my money into the drain. Other than feeling dry after cleanse, I do not see any help on preventing pimples from happening because on off still have small pimples popping. So, I presumed not exactly work out as stated. It is green gel consistency.

Moisturizing Lotion - One of the worst Lotion I ever put on face. I actually ventured into this brand is because of an article in the newspapers promoting its' Cream. Forgot its' name but if not mistaken is all purpose cream for face and body. In reviews and also the shop assistant did mention a similarity of this cream is very good on cold weather. Since this brand is from India, I thought will work quite good on me plus cheapo as Malaysia shares pretty much same weather as India. Alas, the lotion not only not moisturizing enough, it also makes my sebum super-ly active. Less than an hour, my face was covered with a layer of greasy oil. Nevertheless, it absorbs pretty face during application leaving no stickiness behind. I only used this once and the whole bottle now is in my dresser waiting to be executed :)

Neem Mask - As stated, Neem is pimples prevention so I bought it thinking to replace my H2O+ mud mask which is on its' way finishing. I had used this mask a few times but not regular hence, still have a full tube. Is in yellowish paste. Consider an alternative because it works as stated although I am not very fond of it. As the other 2 items were quite disappointing which made me no interest in this brand at all. Can always seek other brands on Mud Mask type. No doubt, it can counter already popped out pimples by reducing the zits size but compare to Etude House Clay Mask & H2O+ Mud Mask, it is still behind them.

Sisley Ecological Compound - Cost me RM650.00. Why I bought it? A friend of mine highly recommend this to me which she has been using for sometimes now. Is a moisturizer or as booster on its' own. Highly fragrance which I detest as I am a sinus person and I hate strong smell. I only used this 2-3 times before I use it as my body lotion. I am not going to waste this as it costs me a bomb and I bought it when I was deeply broke :) Just because I could not resist to hold till my next salary pay. Which I am highly regretted!! Texture is white lotion but of oilier consistency because essential oil is added. Half pump is already sufficient for combo or oily face, full pump for dry skin. I cannot tell of its' effectiveness due to I only used this 2-3 times. No breakouts and moisturizing during the times I used. Easily absorbs after spread and massaged it into the skin.

Not working out so no re-purchasing that I think is worth it unless one is really satisfied and also skin is truely responding well upon application. Which resulted me checking out The Faceshop & Etude House. Can read my blogs on these 2 korean brands which I had already posted end of Mar and early Apr 2014.

Sugar Cosmetics It’s A Pout Time Vivid Lipstick Brownton Abbey Review Swatches

Burt's Bees & The Simple Me :)

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

My skin background :- redness, acne-prone, large pores & combo skin (T-Zone Oily, U-Zone DeHydrate)

Redness has been haunting me since I was born. When small, consider 'ang geh' in hokkien but once I reached puberty, nightmare begun. People will find my redness obvious to be taken as a topic plus I had breakouts everywhere and later in my 20s', I started to have acne-prone skin. Ever since my delivery of my first born son, my skin has changed GREATLY. I still have light redness, no more pimples but if I do use wrong products may cause acne/pimples to form. Sebum secretion is another issue as well. Suitable products will work meaning will decrease my active glands, however, non suitable products will cause my skin to produce more oil which resulted clog pores and eventually breakouts due to inflammation from bacteria causing agents.

Fast forward to Burt's Bees. I just bought 2 sets of skincare each from The FaceShop & Etude House within a short period and usually will buy new products when some of the items are finish. Not in this case. Because there was an offer happening on Burt's Bees Facebook. BB Malaysia was giving out free samples on Eye Cream White Daisy Xela which expired on 7th April 2014 (yesterday). Needless to say, I am a facial junky person so I went to redeem mine and was given 4 pcs. Requirement was I need to purchase a face care product to entitle for the redemption. I checked out reviews blogs on BB, I found that not many blogs are on it. In the end, I was only interested to try its' Sensitive Line. Years ago, I tried its' Blemish line which I did not find it good on me. Next, during my pregnancy I tried it's body lotion and once again not satisfying. Then I realized BB is only famous for its' lip balm/lip care range than skincare and bodycare line. If I was not wrong, I remembered I even bought its' tinted lip balm also years ago but was not satisfied as well. So, yesterday was my 4th time going back to this brand just because I want to redeem its' offer :)

Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream - Why I bought it? Besides, I need it for redemption, is also because it claimed to be very effective on eczema, redness and acne prone skin. These are only part of the list. You can go to its' official website to read more. Only then I realize if one skin easily breakouts is considered one type of sensitive skin. No wonder, people recommend me acne care line always make my skin worse by more dry, dehydrates and make my redness even worse. Then if people recommend me hydrating line, well soothing enough but not helping on pimples and oiliness. After reading this, I realize I may be categorized under Sensitive but in the market there are not much brands that are generating Sensitive Line. I started using this last evening, night and this morning. Yes, I cleanse face 3 times a day - morning, after work and night. I do not give this high hope due to past experience. So, caught me real off guard when I started this. Evening - control sebum very effectively. Not oily, just nice secretion to give me comfortable healthy glow. No Redness. I was amazed as well as shocked to find my skin no redness at all on my first application. I did not know why last evening my skin had hot flush (feels hot), upon application, just soothe and sizzle down the temperature. It contains rice extracts - moisturizing and whiten effects, cotton extracts - sustain moisture and shield skin from potential irritants and Aloe - soothing. Fragrance free and is dermatologist tested. Best of all NATURAL. Many products claim to help on redness but not working on me. No breakouts is already a big step of gratitude to me needless to say no redness at all. Overnight, I woke up with dewy skin and again no redness at all. I think it gives good respond to my sebum secretion epidermis layer, hehehe..as my skin not oily at all just sufficient oil to give me healthy glow in the morning, overnight in air-condition room. MY BIGGEST BREAKTHROUGH - I applied this after my toner this morning then proceed with my left over Eminence SunScreen then pat some powder over it. Until now, I still do not need to blot my face. Not oily and yet not dry at the same time. The beautiful thing is no redness!!!! OMG, I cannot believe is working so beautifully on me.That is why I give my header the simple me as I am not on heavy makeup today. The powder I use is Etude House powder which on my last blogs on it, I stated that it cannot control sebum and will be cakey when face is oily. Now, boost BB Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream even more. My skin now is glowy but not oily, no tight or dehydrate feeling but very comfortable and I still have not seen any redness appearing yet. Simply the best cream ever!! I highly recommend this to sensitive skin people. Come in pump round bottle. White lotion cream consistency. 1 pump for face & neck or half pump for face. After absorb, feel a layer veil over my skin but rest assured not burden or annoying. Although the brand claims to be not expensive, but I personally think is moderate as the size is not big and cost me around RM120.00. If use twice to thrice times a day, may finish up pretty soon.

I was told by the shop assistant that it can be used on AM/PM or I can use Sensitive Night Cream for PM. The night cream can also be used on AM. Is actually depends on our skin. Commonly,Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream is meant for prevention and Night Cream is meant for repairing during our sleep time. The functions are totally 2 different types. Of course, Night cream will be thicker consistency than daily cream and it comes in a tub/jar. I may get its' night cream when I have extra money after paying off my credit card debts first :)

Tinted Lip Balm - Is moisturizing to my crack lips. At the same time give me some color that does not stain my tumbler/cup :) So, I do not need to worry to re-touch up after my meal and also to clean my tumbler for every sip I take. I bought Hibiscus color name. I intend to get a red color lipstick so now I got this and pretty much love it. Is kind of enhance my red lips and yet is only tinted balm which will not give away the pigment color when wipe off. I cannot remember why I had issue with its' lip balm before but let's talk of future than linger on past, right? :)

I bought Lip balm for my son in mango flavour and he loves it too :) Now, he tells me his lips is dry, need lip balm. hehehe. I also bought my son body wash from BB. Have not use yet though.

All products claim to be Natural and best suited for irritated skin very well. On this purchase and trial, I love it!! Thank goodness to my greediness, now I give this brand another shot of chance. Will give another updates review on this after 3 weeks trial. Stay Tune!

NEUTROGENA - Hydro Boost, Ageless, Fine Fairness Skincare Review (PART 1)

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

With all my trial and error for a year plus now (hehehe..), Neutrogena is my latest stick to it skincare regime for almost a month now. Is time to give this brand its' due recognition :) I do not remember how I landed myself to this brand but I do remember why I moved to this brand though. 2 months+ ago, I had almost flawless skin, many told me that after using SKII, one cannot change brands because skin will get very ugly. So, I was thinking maybe it can control me to stop wasting $$$$$ on skincare anymore. Also, I found out I was pregnant. No wonder I had good skin. So, I invested on a set of SKII, very good respond but only lasted me 3 weeks as soon after I got miscarriage and gradually pimples made their way out. Hehehe..During SKII, skin was dewy soft and healthy glow. My skin is easily redness but during that time, it did not get burnt even though I was out in the heat during the day. I still looked amazing. After 2 weeks into it, pores really less visible. Even though after 3 weeks, mild pimples did pop out, only 1-2, did not inflame at all. Meaning, no swollen redness or got worse and very fast recovery. I have since stopped using was because I was afraid would get worst. I remember when I was much younger, in my 20s', I did try SKII products and was a total failure and my skin was in a damaged. Moving on ----- > current skin condition/concern: dehydrate, redness, pimples (only if use wrong products and mostly on chin area), anti-aging

Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub & Toner

The scrub is mild enough to be used as cleanser day in and day out daily. I have been using in such way for almost a month now and is finishing soon. It has orange color beads, does not dry out immediately after wash instead leave skin soft and smooth. Smells peachy.
The toner is one hell amazing transparent liquid that gives skin cooling sensation. Smells minty and refreshing. Also to be used day & night. Pour on cotton and wipe all over face.
With this combo, it really lives up to its' acclaim name. Blackhead indeed lesser and really help on pores by minimizing the size. Larger pores are less visible and impurities are lessen because now it does not build up deep into my pores anymore. The products claim to have an ingredient that fight blackhead build up agent. Skin is alot more refined.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Essence & Water Gel

Both come in blue plastic container. Essence with a pump and Gel in jar type. Both comes in light blueish opaque white gel formula. Both also gives very cold cooling sensation to skin which is kind of lasting I would say. Very refreshing and calming to skin so much so I feel good all the time whenever I put the skincare on. I can feel myself giving myself a very good breathing so as my skin too, breathing good and respond to the skincare VERY WELL!! Some of my trial with other brands I did mention they were good but this range is superb and better than those I had tried before such as Skinfood, H20+ and TBS. WHY SAID SO? Well, once again it lives up to what it claims for - 400% hydration to skin. Yup! A very good hydrating moisturizer and essence. None in the market I tried so far gives such good hydration to skin. Since using, my skin has no redness at all. Moisturizing enough in air condition environment (day & night am in air-cond) and good enough under heat as well as I do not get burnt during my lunch hour out. Hydratingly plump up my skin. With such good hydration, my skin has no tendency to any skin concern. Since using, no break out at all, and skin is getting better and improving as days passed. Additionally, with such outstanding hydration, it really controls sebum. Say bye bye to oily and large pores. Skin is matte even on first application.

My skin now is almost flawless. I have not reach such level before no matter how good some brands to me, they cannot give me such result. This is the only brand, a picky friend of mine (also one that likes to pick on my skin as a topic) finally said, 'What skincare are you using now?...must be good..your skin is in such a good condition' ... hahahaha..Woohoooo!! Previously, no matter how well my skin is, always will have pimples mark (on the way to recovery) but always took awhile to fade off and also will have 1-2 new poppings. Now, since I have no new ones coming out, scar is fading away faster than before, hence, giving me a new identity of finally reaching flawless skin :)

The Hydro Boost range claims to have progressive released system, I must salute to this new research. I think it really works as I can feel my skin is hydrated throughout the day and night. Lasting hydration. Most products claim to be Hydration or Hydrating range but it does not last longer than 3-4 hours. With Neutrogena, is another successful story to tell. Even I wash my face in the evening (after work), my skin is still hydrated. Basically, now my skin is hydrated 24 hrs/ 7 days a week :)

TIPS: Daily Skincare Regime for Day & Night

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

As promised, there you go my personal solution for acne prone and redness with visible pores skin.

Day

I always start off my day with Lancome Foam cleanser in the morning. Pat dry with face towel instead of all in 1 towel or body towel. Best to keep bacteria or germ at bay. Use warm or room temperature water instead of hot/icy cold. Next, apply Lancome Hydra Zen Moisture Aqua Gel toner by hand. Followed by, Lancome Vissionnaire Skin Perfector serum then Lancome Hydra Zen Cream-Gel moisturizer. Last but not least, Sunblock. I always favoured Eminence tropical sunblock and H2O Plus CC cream SPF30+++. Then you are good to go already :) Alternatively, if you like a more mattify skin, can dust over loose powder to set your skin. I always favoured Clarins Loose Powder because it matches my skin tone well and it also sebum absorbing well very matching and suitable to my needs. The pearlecent makes skin glowing. Looks Au Naturel.

Night

Use Lancome cleansing milk fluid on dry skin. Tissue off then rinse and wash with Lancome Foam cleanser. Pat dry with face towel. Use warm or room temperature water. Follow the same steps as above, only to add in eye cream/gel after serum before moisturizer. If you favour to use eye care in the morning, also use it after serum before moisturizer. Then you are off to bed with a good night sleep :) I do not have specific eye care that I am addicted to, besides over the years, I find The Body Shop Nutriganics Eye Cream is best for me. Since started using, I do not encounter tired and dry eye area anymore.

Fast and simple steps to keep your skin fresh and clean.

You can learn more on all products mentioned on my blog page.

Additional Treatment

Neutrogena Blackhead daily scrub is a must have for large pores skin. I always use this after my cleanser on alternate days in the evening. The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Scrub on once weekly basis (when using this, do not use Neutrogena Blackhead daily scrub), to keep pimples causing at bay. Apply a layer of Shiseido Purifying Mask or Innisfree Pore Clearing Mask (both are mud mask), leave it on for 5 mins (Shiseido)/ 10 mins (Innisfree) before washing off. For more intense pampering, you can put moisture mask - Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sheetmask or The Body Shop Vitamin E wash off moisture mask. Sheetmask, leave on for 15 mins before removing and blend the remaining essence to be fully absorbed into skin and apply moisturizer. Wash Off, leave on for 10-15mins then tissue off before wash with water (the Vit E mask is abit oily from Vit E oil). After that, apply your usual Night regime. Note: Moisture/Hydration mask can be done on daily basis even without purifying mask or scrub (since both cannot be done on daily basis). After Neutrogena daily scrub also good to have mask of any kind as long as can be done on daily basis. You will reap with good plump hydrating skin. Hydrated skin will keep problematic away.

Consume Help

I strongly detest to have oral medication to help on pimples or skin appearance. Is very unhealthy. If you do need to opt for such way, please seek professional consultation such as dermatologist. As for my personal health way is to take GNC 10x Probiotic. I got myself into this for almost half a year now, the reason behind was pediatric advised me to give my son probiotic to keep good bacteria inside to fight off bad bacteria to avoid falling into sickness too frequent. Because there was one period of time where my son always had diarrhea and also flu and cough. For child, can take Gainbac Probiotic on any pharmacies.
Back to my blog, GNC 10x probiotic to be taken daily in the morning on empty stomach 30 mins before breakfast. One pill Once a day. Over times, I realized my skin is alot better and have less congestion. Not long ago, I came across an article also recommend people to take probiotic to help to achieve better skin.

Please remember transformation does not come over night. Be consistent for weeks or months. You will be fruitful when the time comes and you will learn to cherish more and your happiness will be your motivation to keep going on healthy diet and proper skincare for your skin.

Hope this help and enjoy trying out my ways :) Good Luck!

EMINENCE The Organic Skincare

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

This will be my last blog for year 2013 as I will be away for the Christmas season :) So, I hope everyone has an awesome X'mas celebration and let's together joying into year 2014!

Eminence is an Hungarian brand since year 1958. In Malaysia, sole distributor is My Beauty Cottage (MBC). I am lucky to have it in Malaysia shore and my deeply gratitude to MBC for introducing this magical and PURE skincare line. In KL, have 2 shops and in PG have 1 shop at Paragon Mall. Jurlique has no travel size for me so I checked out MBC which located opposite Jurlique shop. Till this day, I thank God for directing me to walk into this shop to enquire about Eminence products. The shop is captivating like English Cottage Style - which all girls find it lovely and will walk into the shop :)

First thing I noticed when I walked into the shop was I was being greeted with a very warmth welcome from the beautician/s. Very friendly I would say so. Next, would be the MEGA Pricing!! OMG!! Very expensive ranging RM200 over till RM400 over per bottle/jar. At least at Jurlique, the minimum is RM100 over for cleansers. Since, I had wrecked up my bill with Jurlique products and facials, so I asked for travel/trial set. Oh my my...they do have :) So, I bought 1 trial set for normal skin - cleanser, exfoliating, masque, day cream, night cream. All in small cute jar. Put into a wooden box!! All these at the cost of RM238. Do not fret, the products are worth their prices. DEFINITELY WORTH IT!! You may ask WHY? Because it contains full pure organic ingredients which they have their own farm growing them. Good for the environment as no harsh ingredients plus for every product that is being sold, they will plant a tree. As a proof, the beautician turned a masque jar upside down without the cap on - no dripping, no sliding away - it just stay put..intact..solid...All you need is a peasize of the product and dilute it with a few drops of water before you blend it and apply on face. If prefer thicker layer, can apply without emulsify with water. So the products actually is lasting and most important of all, it is pure ingredients without pre-emulsified. That is why when using need a few drops of water. Usually, I will spray 1-2 pumps of my toner mist onto my moisturizer instead of using tap water. For exfoliant and masque, I will use tap water. I was recommended Stone Crop gel wash, toning mist and masque. Which I love them all especially masque. I cannot go without it and I am in the midst of finishing my jar of masque.

The con for gel wash is no bubble and no foam or whatever..so I am not that used to it yet. But was told it is very gentle for skin eventhough I feel nothing. I do not need to fret as it cleanses well plus if I am worried, I can rub a lil longer. I am deeply in love with the day and night cream. Because when I ventured into this brand, that particular day was my 2nd facial with Jurlique. The MBC beautician saw my bare bruised face and dry skin which allow her to recommend me most suitable products to me. She already recommended me my suitable products on Day 1 comparatively to Jurlique beautician which resulted me wasting my money on unsuitable products. So, I started Eminence on that very same day I purchased..Instantly, my skin moisture PH being balanced up and redness reduce greatly the next morning when I woke up. Happily without dry-ness and tightness anymore. That was how it captivates my heart :) Since, then I have diligently using Eminence day and night with once a week scrub and 3 times stone crop masque. Simple and fast!!Absorb fast too and does not leave greasiness and I think it hydrates well cause, I have less oil production. Finally, redness once again back to its' original at bay :) So far, no breakouts. Started this on 29th Nov 2013 until today.

Last week, I went back to get another trial set for Clear Skin, comes with a pouch - Probiotic cleanser, Probiotic Masque, Willow-Bark Booster Serum in droplet glass bottle, Probiotic moisturizer. This is targeting acne prone skin so it is too dry for my skin but is good for congested area plus once a while detox for my skin. I am not suppose to use this as my daily regime but once awhile when that time of the month comes :) You know what I meant :) But, I have been using the booster serum daily. Booster-serum can be used together with masque/moisturizer with 2-3 drops or use on its' own. I always use it along with my masque/moisturizer. I only can say that my skin is recovering fast from my congested skin after using L'occitane Divine range and also dry and tightness from Jurlique. Importantly, I do not need to worry what I put on my face - the products are amazing with natural smells of fruits and plants that give nutrients to my skin to fight against harsh environmental and also my lifestyle.

2 days ago I bought my very first original size product from MBC. It is called Tropical Vanilla Cream SPF 30. It is sunscreen, apply after moisturizer without the need of emulsifying. Honestly, it has vanilla smell so soft and calming. I just love it. Too good to be eaten :) For 60ml - RM438/jar. All right, I lavish and pamper myself :) 2 days ago was also my very first experience with Eminence facial spa. I LOVE IT!! Much better than Jurlique or anywhere else. Once again, it is PURE AND NATURAL. No machine involves!! All by hands with top grade Eminence products. I was welcomed with foot spa before proceed to facial. Organic means their concept is hygiene :) Need to clean your feet first before you lie down with their comforter over you. I am a frequent facial person and it does not occur to me what hides inside those sheets. When the therapist pointed out it may be unhygienic to have everyone's feet inside the sheets without changing the sheets daily. Besides foot massage, next head and neck massage then only the facial starts. While on masque, will have shoulder and back massage. The extraction was good as I do not feel pain. Was told very yellowish and black white/blackheads. She asked whether my sunscreen now is very oily or tinted type as products that are very oily to my skin will cause yellowish whiteheads. So, I invested on Eminence sunscreen. I am amazed with it. No oily plus stays matte almost whole days. Less oil production comparatively Clinique SPF40 Sunblock. Indeed is much more oilier as I need to blot my face twice when I am using it. Eminence sunscreen promises high hydration, must be working effectively as my skin produce lesser oil. For facial session, welcome with a cup of tea, end with a cup of tea and 3 slices of orange :) I felt calmed and relaxed and dozed off during my facial pampering :)

Always the first is BEST as sales gimmick. Will review again next year after my 2nd visit. My little beauty advice will be stick to pure and organic products - Skinfood the most economical, if you can afford please try out Eminence. I guarantee no regrets!! Merry X'mas and a Happy New Year to all of you:)!!

Dermal Fillers Malaysia: Hyaluronic Acid treatment in Kuala Lumpur 2017

by noreply@blogger.com (Dr Frank Yap) @ Best Dermatologists Malaysia

If you have tried Googling and asking your friends for recommended clinics for dermal fillers but found yourself confused and overwhelmed, you are in the right place. This article was written with you in mind.

What is Hyaluronic Acid (Dermal Fillers)?

If you want to reduce facial wrinkles and lines, hyaluronic acid may be a good choice as a dermal filler because of its compatibility with the human body.

In fact, this substance is found in almost every single living thing. In humans, it acts as a network that transfers essential nutrients from the bloodstream to skin cells.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in your body. High concentrations are found in soft connective tissues and in the fluid surrounding your eyes. It's also in some cartilage and joint fluids, as well as skin tissue. It is extracted and reformulated and now has become one of the most popular kinds of injectable fillers. If the term sounds familiar, it's because the same substance is often injected into the aching joints of people with arthritis to ease pain and provide extra cushioning. Brand names include Captique, Esthélis, Elevess, Hylaform, Juvéderm, Perlane, Prevelle, Puragen and Restylane. Hyaluronic acid is not derived from animal sources.

When this gel is injected, it acts like an inflated cushion to support facial structures and tissues that may have lost volume or elasticity due to normal aging. It also brings water to the surface of skin to keep it looking fresh and supple.

In the last few decades, various synthetic forms of hyaluronic acid have been developed and used to correct disorders in the fields of rheumatology, ophthalmology, and wound repair. More recently, synthetic forms of hyaluronic acid are being manufactured for use in face augmentation.

Hyaluronic acid injections can be used to improve the skin's contour and reduce depressions in the skin due to scars, injury or lines. You can see potentially dramatic improvements for:

  • Acne scars
  • Cheek depressions
  • Crow's feet at the corner of your eyes
  • Deep smile lines that run from the side of the nose to corners of the mouth (also known as nasolabial furrows)
  • Frown lines between the eyebrows
  • Marionette lines at the corners of the mouth
  • Redefining lip border
  • Scars including burns, acne and those caused by wounds
  • Smoker's lines; vertical lines on the mouth
  • Some facial scars
  • Worry lines that run across your forehead

Hi everyone! Winter is receding now with spring gradually taking over. But my skin tends to behave quite the same throughout these 3 months. K-Beauty : Concentrated Reviews on Etude House Products - Skincare

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

Hi to all lovely princesses, thanks for visiting my blogs, in a way it gives me motivation to get new products to try out and blog about it :) Like I promised that I would review more in-depth on EH products after weeks of trial and now I am in my 3rd week using. On EH Buy 1 Free 1 Program days, I went back to RE-STOCK..yes, you read it right, I am restocking on Moistful Collagen Cream, Blackhead Remover Dual Sheets and purchase NEW products as well.

Moistful Collagen Cream I am still using it as PM moisturizer. Loving it as it gives enough moisture and plump up my skin very effectively. I love the next morning hydrating firm skin. Hydrate as in no redness and no overly active sebum - woke up with abit shiny face, oil level not much being produced but it makes skin looks dewy instead. I use around RM0.20 coin size (yes more than the legendary pea size), warm it up in between my fingers and apply from down to upward. Warm my palm and pat face for better absorption. No sticky/greasy after feel. Since the one I am using is mini jar so I went back to get the original size (not jumbo size, is only slightly bigger jar than mini jar size and is in plastic instead of glass) that came with small sample size of Moistful First Essence in plastic bottle. If all proceed well, my next purchase will be in Jumbo :)

Moistful First Essence This is FREE to me due to the program. Is in ORIGINAL FULL SIZE. Comes in glass bottle. I put it in my bathroom, after out from my fresh bath, towel dry, I will then pour 2-3 drops and pat all over my face and neck. Texture wise is transparent serum like as it is abit oily instead of water consistency. Skin instantly hydrates and when fully absorb, skin is smooth and supply. I am back using First Essence (for the past, I used Sulwhasoo First Essence, also the first brand intro this to me which I love it alot as I found when using this step, my skin has less tendency to have problems especially for my dehydrate skin. Sort of telling my skin to produce less sebum as my skin layer is moist enough, hence, less clogging and breakout)

Wonder Pore Freshner Yes Yes, I bought it!! All right, with all that raving, I must agree it is indeed a wonderful toner for problematic skin such as large pores, pimples prone and sebum issue. Comes in blue transparent plastic bottle (small bottle is normal pour out cap, 500ml comes in a unique press pump type, like the one in nail salon is using). I have both! I only use it PM as I prefer to have well cleansed skin before bed. It is drying so need moisturizer after using it. Also a reason why I only use it once. Maybe it is very suitable to use twice for Oily skin but not Combo skin. But it keeps skin fresh and clean feel after wiping with cotton. Water consistency with not much scent. I do not remember of any scent that lingers or can make me choke :) Definite a sebum controlled toner. Skin clearer as impurities are removed and less clogging can happen which makes skin smoother. Smoother also can be meant pores are not expanded by impurities. Large Pores can never be shrunk but by keeping the 'pocket' clean can make the pores visibly smaller and prevent more sagging (getting larger). During AM, I am still using Skin MalGem Smoother which has better moist to keep my skin moisturized during day. It is oily serum type cum liquidity so is also a boost to skin.

Wonder Pore Corrector It is like Laneige Pore Care Essence and Skinfood Egg Pore care T-Zone & U-Zone Gel. All comes to same function. That is keep problem away from pores concern. I do not know what the scientific words use to describe the things build up in the pores that cause clogging and eventually breakout and also cause larger pores. I remember I love Laneige & Skinfood mentioned above products because when I was in use, I had less black/whitehead, skin felt smooth and clean which pimples had no chance of growing :) So, I am back in using it. The difference is the packaging, EH comes in blue tube with steel applicator and the hole is in the middle of the applicator. The only drawback is unhygienic - come out that hole, need to roll on nose areas till absorb. I always keep my Wonder Pore Freshner after used cotton to wipe the applicator before storing. Same texture as above. White gel like consistency. Along with applicator, during application is cooling, pores are visibly tighter. After all absorb, skin is smooth. Before using this, for the past months, I have some pimples popping around my nose area, eventhough not severe but frequent compare to younger days. After using, now my nose areas are clean and clear.

Wonder Pore Clay Mask I did not buy yet as I still have H2O+ Mud mask. It was give to me as samples. I love love it soooooooo much. It is such an honest result as it claims to be. Thumbs Up! Gentle and yet very effective. H2O+ mud mask gives tingling and watery eyes, although both gives same outcome. EH Clay mask gives no tingling or water eyes, just feel comfortable and VOILA! pimples immediately shrunk and bye bye the next day. Skin is definitely clean and fresh but NOT TIGHT as in H2O+. The texture is rubbery white greyish paste, easily spread and easily remove. When dry up, skin is not tight just comfy like wash off mask whereby H2O+ Mud mask makes skin very tight feel when dries up. EH does not harden when dry but H2O+ harden when dry. Conclusion, Wonder Pore Clay Mask is a must have to prevent pimples and impurities clogging pores.

Moistful White Emulsion I ventured into this as I want to try on brightening product. I never use whitening or brightening products in my entire life as I find it very strong on skin as in bleaching type. My mom has been using Kose Whitening range for almost 20 years and the outcome is actually thinning our skin to appear brighter and whiten skin so was told my dermatologist. Therefore, she now suffers severe eczema. She has since recovered but she can no longer use skincare products. Only sticking to allergy medic and Doc face wash & cream. When her skin recovered, she tried a few brands but all ended up causing eczema. Lesson learnt here is when skin runs out of protection veil, no matter what you apply, it will not work. But because I have some pimples scar on my chin, that makes an excuse for me to try. Blek! In my previous post I mentioned I had minor ops and soon after my chin breakouts. But already recover just the scar takes time. I will not re-purchase this though. Is not because it is not good. It has strong fragrance which I detest. I have sinus and allergy nose. Comes in white glass bottle. Texture typical white solution emulsion. Outcome is quite good in terms of brighten up my skin and it is indeed moistful. AM/PM is applicable. But I always layer either Aloe/Collagen cream after it for extra moisture/hydration. To me, old age is catching up, my skin tends to be on drier end although my sebum/acne prone is quite a nuisance at times, so I give it a shot to apply dual moisturizer and the outcome is no breakout. Thank God :) Of course I use pea size cream instead of coin size. I do not use it daily though. My personal though is by using scrub, clay mask and loads of sheet masks, can also help to speed up scar recovery hence, another reason not to re-purchase. I see improvement on scar healing despite me not using it daily.

Blackhead Removal Dual Sheet AAaahh...why I re-purchase it while my last blog I was so disappointed with it? hehehe...Like I said I went back to the girl to enquire on how to use. I was told to put Step 1 the moist cotton nose shape sheet on dry clean nose for 15mins, remove then use cotton bud to roll off the impurities that comes off then use Step 2 remove the plastic cover then use the sticky side on nose for tightening purpose. This is not the same as typical stick and pull off type. Not many will like it though. Is a nuisance to use this but very effective and non aggression to skin comparatively to stick and pull which pull out our facial hair. I need to squeeze out after Step 1 but trust me the impurities are easily coming out, hence, gentle on skin. Indeed VERY CLEAN. Everything just comes off!! Effective than stick & pull as sometimes not all can be pulled out. Nose instantly soft and smooth due to unclogging. After Step 2, pores are tighten up. Tighten effect is immediate on first use. So, make me re-purchased it. Lasting effect as been days after using, my nose areas is still soft and smooth. Before using EH, my skin is abit rough and triggers me to buy nose strips. But now, I only use this when necessary as until now my nose still smooth. No more rough. With combination of above products into my regime, I can say it works very well on me. Another bonus is no itchy tingling skin like pull off strip does.

Aloe & Pearl White Sheet Masks I simply love these 2 sheets...they have A-Z sheet masks and I tried these 2 so far. Buy 2 Free 1 - so I stock up 3pcs each. I am going to try Lemon sheet mask and others next time. Unlike typical sheet mask, this comes with 1 side smooth and soft to adhere on skin and another side abit rough. I use it after clay mask. So, I do not know is it because dry so my skin drinks up every bit of the essence or because its' formula is very fine molecule for skin to absorb well. At the end of 15mins, the sheet is dry and patting and massaging the remains on my skin also absorb pretty well fast. No waste at all! Usually sheet mask in my past experience, sheet is always moist when remove and my skin cannot absorb all that remains. Which makes me love EH sheet mask now. Definite re-stocking! Aloe is indeed soothing and Pearl White really brighten up my skin. Both has cooling feeling which added bonus for relaxation at night :)

Pomegranate Massage Scrub It has other fruits name but I tried this. The girl said since I am looking for lightening scar. I do not see any effect. So far, I used once and it comes in 2 sachets. Scrub beads are not much, the beads are very fine and comes with white lotion cream type. Non aggression to skin especially sensitive skin. Compare to typical scrub that comes with more beads or chunky beads, this is the gentle type. But skin is smoother though. Like I said, maybe of the combination above that makes my skin now clearer and less problems and much healthier from my post-ops. It does not dry up skin as well after use. My pas experience with typical scrub will make my skin dry and red but not with this.

Conclusion: Very satisfying experience with Etude House products as all comes in lovely packaging :) Very sweet and feminine. I just love to add those items on my girly dresser. Plus, is effective on me so I am giving it 5/5 for skincare. So far, no breakout. In fact heal me from my post-op skin. Although not overnight, I believe continuous use will make me on the right track to healthier glowing skin. After Skinfood, Etude House is another thumbs up products for me. Price wise, hhmmm...not very cheap neither expensive. Due to come in small packaging, makes it expensive. Eg. Moistful Collagen Cream, a small tub cost me RM101.90. With the rate and amount I am using, will not last me more than 2 months. Most probably on the 2nd month I will need to re-stock. Moderate pricing I would say. Sulwhasoo & Laneige are higher range but their products are much more lasting. Packaging wise, EH is the best! Another added bonus is it always have sales and programs that make us on saving side. Eg, coincidentally with my purchases, first on 30% discount on all products when buy above 3 items and second time was Buy 1 Free 1.

New Year New you: Eversoft Skinz Youth Recall Skincare Range

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

Gong Xi Gong Xi...

Often Chinese New Year is related to REDNESS AND RED PACKET..Let me bring you to the redness and goodness of skincare for your skin. Now, Eversoft is having a promo pack for CNY. Consists of:-

  1. Deep Action Micro Cleansing Oil
  2. Hydra Clean Cleansing Foam (Normal Skin) & Deep Moist Rich Cleansing Foam (Dry Skin)
  3. Hydrating Toning Lotion
  4. Firming & Refining Essence (Face & Eye)
  5. Hydra Glow Firming Cream SPF30 PA++ (Day) & Ultra Rich Renewal Firming Cream (Night)

Is inspired by the timeless beauty of Japanese women, hence, the 5 steps regimen being formulated. After 2 weeks of usage, according to the direction/method of each product, you will experience a porcelain skin (to be more appropriate, is skin transformation). Can get this brand at leading pharmacies/guardian/watsons. Very economical price and yet with promise being delivered. Who says, high end brands the only way for good skin? You can achieve it with Eversoft Skinz, a drugstore brand!!

The cleansing oil is up to par with Shu Uemura cleansing oil. Abit thicker but does the cleaning job very well for my skin type (large pores around nose area, combi skin (T-zone oily; dehydrate cheeks), redness). As for the cleansing foam, lather the rich cream into foam before washing on skin. A little goes a long way because it can lather very well even with pea size. Some may say stripping but not on my skin. I do not feel tight after washing but I do feel refresh and moist skin after that. No doubt, double cleansing will give skin overly cleansed but subsequent steps will nourish the skin back. So, fret not.

I highly recommend Hydrating Toning Lotion. By far the best toner for drugstore level and also as par as Kose Sekkisei Lotion (even better I think :) ) Really speaks for itself as promised on the label - hydrate skin up to 24hrs. I do not break out with this and I guarantee that it really does hydrate my skin through out the day. When I tried Hada Labo Lotion, I broke out and plenty of oil seeds on my forehead. Next best thing for oily skin is, enough hydration means less oil secretion so I highly recommend this toner to oily skin. Through out the day, my skin is matte dewy. No tight feeling, no dehydrate feeling and keeps secretion at bay. So, I am very very satisfied and love this toner alot!! A wonder for combi skin too - nourish/hydrate area as needed. Can be used as face mask - drop a face mask sheet onto the lotion and put on for 5 mins and VOILA!!! a plumped up skin. Could not be better with the price so cheap and yet deliver wonder to skin.

My skin rarely can accept serum. In my previous blogs, I rarely tried serum and even I did, not very satisfying. Plus, I cannot use nourish cream or too potent to my skin, will surely break me out. But age is catching up and I have issue with elasticity so I am craving to try firming cream. So far, none I tried work accept this range. I am quite surprised though. First thing first, the serum is not rich texture and easily absorb into skin compare to upmarket/drugstore brand that I have tried before. Best, for eye and face so safe pocket money :) Is delicate to eye so people with sensitive skin can use this potent serum. No after sticky feel. By now, after 4th steps of the regime, you can feel skin is already soft and supple.

Last but not least the moisturization part. Good news to lazy people LIKE ME..hehehe...Day moisturizer is already equipped with SPF 30 PA++, is sufficient for our daily life. Moist my skin throughout the day and protect my skin from sunburn. I have less redness when I am out. So, a thumbs up. Matte finish with plump up skin. As for the night cream, is nourished enough under air condition and also good for dry/dehydrate skin. Woke up with dewy skin but not oily skin.

Toner-Serum-Day & Night cream :- apply upward circular motion.
Serum for eye area :- apply from tear duct to outer corner of eye. In and out till absorb.

Remember: Do not drag skin too much. Do not put too much pressure on skin. Light stroke and finish off with patting for better absorption and blood circulation.

Conclusion: worth every penny u spent. is so cheap and effective. I do not see any visible firming as i have visible undereye/cheekbone loss of elasticity. Still exist but I am only few days into it. So, I am going to give it some time. If happens overnight, I will be worried of the chemical used in it. hehehe...One thing for sure is obvious transformation on my large pores. my pores is less visible...alot less visible. Less oil production so pores are not enlarged and also less impurities to clog my pores, hence, help on my pores. No break out so far. Hydrate my skin real well than my previous skincare that I had tried. None live up to matte skin through out the day. The best that I could reach to was less secretion which need me to blot my face once a day. With this skincare regime, I entirely do not need to blot. At the same time, I do not feel tight/dehydrate. Some products control shine too much but not enough hydration will also cause our skin secrete more oil instead and will cause skin tightness.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? HEAD TO YOUR NEAREST GUARDIAN/PHARMACY/WATSONS TO GET THE PROMO PACK NOW!!

I bought mine at guardian at RM95.90. Without night cream , so have to purchase night cream if you want to at RM33.xx. Now Guardian is having sales. Please do check out Eversoft Skinz website for more details. As my focus is only sharing my experience and outcome result after tried.

Disappointment with Dermalogica YET AGAIN

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

Hi all, I have been idled for almost 2 months now. Kind of mix and match episode with some interesting products. Stay tune my followers and non-followers :) Today, I am going to touch on all about dermalogica products and facial. You have guessed it right, fail and very disappointed with the beauty advisors. I tried before its' products and facial many years ago when I was in my teens. At that time I was already disappointed with it. Those times, I had oily/combi skin with pimples. Products recommended to me not suitable or not result oriented hence no repurchase. Facial wise, well not helping to improve my skin but worse, worsen my skin. Meaning, after facial I always suffered even more breakouts and reddish skin. Due to, irresponsible therapist that did not do proper extraction. Maybe was tired from previous session. Needless to say, I never look into this brand since. The products are not cheap even as at today's pricing, way too expensive on average >RM250. Moving on to today's world, after around a decade later, I tried the products and facial again.

This time I bought Dry Kit. For dry skin used. Plus, a soothing booster. Was given a hydrating booster for free (not yet try) and a free booklet. This BA that served me on the very first day was not friendly. Forced me to try out the texture even though I had declined a few times. She was not happy that I did not try out. She even said the reason for my dry skin was due to a kind of medicine that I took to stabilized my acne prone skin. I was so shocked she just concluded that without getting to know further from me. I told her my skin got better was due to my age and also after my first born. Then she looked me from top to bottom, bottom to top even I was seated. SO OBVIOUS OLD LADY!!!! So, I shared with  her why my skin was improving without her inviting, naturally, she gave me a smirked face. Next, I went there to get Hydrating Booster due to all the rave. However, she only told me about soothing booster and I asked her what other booster you have, she did not mention hydrating though I could pin point out from the display shelf, I just chose to be silence. Darn It! She just blew away a reputable brand (though not satisfying even in my younger days and now). To be honest, this time, the products suited me. In fact I quite like it. Credit goes to the booster I must say. My skin is better moisturized not that dry tight feeling when noon comes or the next morning. As I am always under air condition. During my trial of 1-2 weeks, no breakout but a few congested will appear with pus. I think it somehow does its' work of clearing my skin for better clarity. Soothing Booster comes with honey so is a very good product for sunburn or redness or pimple scars. Will heal the skin well. Abit oil water type. I have not tried Hydrating booster but I was told by the BA that it is water type so can apply on eye area too before eye cream. Next credit and much love one is Hydrating Masque. This is a wonder product. I have been using this DAILY for the past 2-3 weeks now. I think I have used up half a tube. Easy to wash off and leave skin supple and moisturized.

The booklet came with a free eye treatment and free Oxygen thing (forgot full name). This trip, was attended by another BA. She did face mapping then recommended me a facial treatment. The cost was RM390. She said I can use 50% discount coupon and reserve the free Oxy treatment as this RM390 included that. She put it so nicely that I can keep the free Oxy coupon for next appointment. Which I gladly nodded. Turned out, like all other business oriented facial salons, it only targets on how to eat clients money and save on their sides to gain better profit. Why I said so? Because halfway through, the therapist said she changed the Oxy treatment to another type but she did not tell me the name of that type she used on my face. Though I gave approval. What choice do I have? Lying down there, halfway through..better went with the flow to avoid more sabotage to my skin. I bet that machine is a cheapo one as almost identical with the current facial I am going to which only charge me<RM200. See the price gap? Shocking right? I did not feel any difference for the so called FREE Eye Treatment as nothing much being done on my eye area. I felt so cheated!! For a facial of RM200, my existing facial therapist already provided eye massage more than the so called free Eye Treatment from dermalogica. That is why I never like to go to salon of such. Once sign up package, they surely will cut here and there instead of providing you the full course you paid for. Needless to say, after my session, the girl drafted up facial package which I rejected. I surely will not go back for facial at Aster Spring which carries dermalogica brand. This time, the facial did not break me out or worsen my skin. Some how, I had a feeling was due to I gave her a negative impact on how i never and loathe going to facial at salon. So she had been careful this time around. Anyhow, I felt they are not professional and honest.

PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION: IF YOU LIKE FACIAL, MY TOP CHOICE IS STILL MY BEAUTY COTTAGE WHICH CARRIES EMINENCE BRAND. CAN VIEW IN MY PREVIOUS BLOGS. EVEN I SIGNED UP COURSE PACKAGE, THEY STILL PROVIDE FULL SERVICE AS PAID FOR EACH VISIT. NOT COSTLY RM2XX AND COME WITH FULL SHOULDER AND BACK MASSAGE.

Mention of massage, the BA had the guts to say shoulder massage and it turned out a casual press here and there then that was it. So, you tell me for the RM390 price why I felt like it was a cheapo no brand shop doing facial?

My Adorable Handsome Prince Of Mine - Age 4

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

It is been awhile since I last blog about my life with my precious little boy. Give my blogs a rest from beauty blogging :) This year my son will turn age 4. Time flies and I still cannot believe how I survive those years of mother love chores. He has grown so much now, can talk well, understand well and most importantly, he is behaving well. I am so happy and proud of him. On my many blogs ago, I did mention I transferred him to a new school name Whyte House. He is still attending. Thumbs up! It educates, coaches and grooms my son into an independent and well mannered boy.

At the age of 3, he already eats, brushes his teeth, self cleaning and wear clothes all by himself. Plus, he keeps away his toys after playing. He obeys us and listens to our reasons. He may have his little run down time especially during sickness or on medication but he is now alot better to care for comparatively to younger days. What makes him significant from his pros is I have a little feeling that he is a thoughtful boy. Whenever I think of his thoughtfulness, my heart is always touched and feel bless to have him. God is very fair, I know I deserve my boy very much than others. At very young age, his mummy has a place in his heart. He will always ask for 2 sets of things because one is for his mummy. Eg. When his granny is having apple, he will ask for 2 slices - 1 for him, another for me. He is a considerate boy too, Eg. During dinner once, he asked my dad to eat the chicken, he said was nice and followed by do not eat the bone, must spit it out. Bone cannot be eaten. You will vomit...aaaww...how nice of him :)

We do not pamper him much but we love him. So, at the early days we do not give in to him much but we always show sharing-ness mindset with him. Eg. cartoon vs non cartoon movie, he will ask to watch cartoon but at times we allow, at times we will say non cartoon first, we watch first, later will let you watch. Only 1 TV set so sharing. Food wise, if he wants more shares of his own portion, I will say the food is for everyone to share around, so you cannot have more than the rest. He obeys. Whenever, I say this is to share with mummy, remember to leave some for me...and each time without fail, he will save some for me. We always bring him to toyshop to play on weekly basis, but he is a good boy never asks to buy. We already set his mentality that go to toyshop - cannot buy, play only. He knows but of course need hard work to educate him on this and to make him understands buying is when daddy and mummy said so.

What makes me proud is my hard work pays off :) I remembered very well that when he is age 2..was the worse moments. Struggling with parenting..hahahaha...As days pass by, me too on learning stage - on how to communicate with my son to bring out the best in him. Special Thanks to the teachers and friend in teaching me as well, otherwise, my son shall not thrive as at these days. Is still too early to tell, I know, but I am always a grateful person and a strong believer in karma and life, I hope my son will grow up healthy, wealthy and prosperity with abundance of happiness.

Parenting does not end here, still continue and will go on and on till my very last breath!! He shows loves and caring as how I bestow on him. So, all parents out there, remember, you are what your kids be in future. That is why always people will say parents are very important as a good role models. Do not rely on school but self patience and learn together with your kids. Seek advice if you are new parents. Is ok to make mistake as we are only human and we do have our first time, but always admit wrong and apologise. You want your kids to be responsible and always apologise on their own mistakes. So that they can grow from it. Is what I am doing. Now, my son knows how to say sorry and thank you. Nevertheless, as parents we need to always nag on our toddler because to keep them in check and in line, sometimes they may forget too. Keep reason and remind them until they have the mentality of acceptance.

Once a dear friend of mine mentioned to me that many parents mistake by changing their kids behaviour instead of mentality. But mentality is the core to raise a bright and good natured kids. Is still early to teach my son about money. But lately, I have been using money term with him. Not as in calculative but as in daily needs such as, do not waste electricity because pricey, so when not in use must switch it off. He may or may not understand the importance of money yet but frequent bringing up and shares examples to him may help his mentality. I do not enforce but I pretty much want his acceptance of understanding. I am starting to teach him not to waste food. Besides waste money, do not waste food because there are children or people around the world without proper source of food and water. He may not understand compassion but he finishes off his food and repeats after me whenever I remind him of poor people.

So many things to show and teach him. Still a long road/path to walk...I hope the path is brightly lit for him.
God Bless!!

27th Apr 2015:
I have been a patient in this clinic for years...I guess almost 10 years? At first, I was here for my freckles..But it didn't work out since I was lazy...
Later on, i came back for my acne. As usual, this doctor is really a good doctor with his medication and skin goods. If you want to visit this doctor, you have to be really early to take a number. The number giving may start around 6.30-7am , depending on the nurses' arrival. Most of them speak in english or cantonese. So no worries. I normally reach around 7am and take my number. Then i will have breakfast at the nearby kopitiam till the clinic is open. From there, i will have to wait till my number is called up by the nurse. Seriously, I have spent almost 3 hours before i met my doctor.
The medication and skin care goods really works for me. Even if my acne problem is gone, i still use the product. It's cheaper than some skin care goods from the drug store or other brands at times. If you want to get a mole remove or other skin solutions, this is one of the places which i would recommend.

6th April 2015:
Ting skin specialist is located in the middle of Jalan Imbi right next to the 7 eleven store on the street. Dr Ting is quite known as one of the best dermatologists in town. He has multiple awards and is very certified The wait was extremely long just make are you have an appointment. Call up for an appointment and it is suggested that you should get an appointment on a weekday. The wait can take about an hour minimum for a consult with Dr Ting and it might take 15 to 20 minutes for a medicine pickup.
Dr Ting can be pretty cold and quiet but he does his job very well. He would alternate between two rooms and consult one patient after another. Even with doing that, he takes quite awhile depending on the patient. The nurses are pretty efficient, they speak multiple languages and first thing you do as you enter is write down your IC number and name. They would get your records from there.

NEUTROGENA - Hydro Boost, Ageless, Fine Fairness Skincare Review (PART 2)

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

Neutrogena Fine Fairness Lotion SPF30+

My current sunblock is Shiseido SPF50+, by far my best sunblock which really protects me from harmful sunrays and prevent me from sunburn 360 degrees, is finishing soon. So, I am on a hunt to get new sunblock. Yes, I know I can always repurchase but I prefer to try new one especially Neutrogena. Since, it gives me good result :) In Malaysia, it does not cater Clinical Fine Fairness range (only in Singapore, lucky me my bro is in Sg and is coming for a visit. So, I got him to get me the range). The range in Malaysia is Fine Fairness. A little different research but same targeting to spots and brightening purpose. Back to the name above, can be used as day moisturizer cum sunblock or over Hydro Boost moisturizer gel. Either way, does not break me out. No redness so can conclude somehow protect me from sunburn. To be used alone, when noon comes, abit oily not much but good enough as glowing. Does not need to blot as it is not annoyingly or burden to skin. I just feel slight glowing to my skin. With SPF and also a whitening product, like many, once applied to skin, skin is instantly brighten and shiny.
When use over Hydro Boost Gel, when noon comes, no oiliness. Matte and glowing outcome. Since then, I have been using in such way and so far so good :) It is packaged in white color plastic pump bottle. White sticky lotion.

Neutrogena Ageless Serum & Anti-Wrinkle & Firming Cream

Ageless range comes in red color packaging. Serum in plastic pump bottle and cream in a plastic jar. Both are stickier/richer opaque gel cream than Hydro Boost range. So far, no breakout. Purpose I try this range is because I am a mom in my 30s' and I see sagging on my cheekbones area. Many anti-aging products I tried before were not successful as prone to give me acne. Since, Neutrogena works so well on me, I give this range a try. Firming is what I need. I still cannot tell whether it works or not as I only use these combo at night and yet is alternate days. I am afraid to spoil my whole regime again. So, now I take things slowly. But for sure is plumping and hydrating to skin as well.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Mask Sheet & Hydrating Mask Sheet

HB is in its' iconic blue packaging and the Hydrating is white packaging. Hydrating is all along in the market but HB is the latest launched. Both to me are the same, Hydration purpose. Both cutting and design of the mask are identical. Also, by far the best design mask. I am now on 3rd box of the mask. 5pcs per box. The mask adhere very well to skin without slipping off. Cold cooling mask throughout 15 mins on face. The mask gives me a feeling of firming too as it is tightened to skin as minutes pass by. I mean, suck to my skin tightly. One hell of a good mask. Better than the others too. Thirst quencher to dehydrate skin.

All the products I tried so far have no fragrance. Even it smells, it does not linger. All products can be purchased at Guardian or Watsons or participating pharmacies. The advantage of it is always on sales and on certain period will have even more slash price. Eg., when I purchased Ageless, that 7 days period were 20% discount and I remembered well that a serum cost RM80+ and that day I bought for only RM60+.

A brand that is not costly and yet effective plus convenient to purchase at anywhere. The effectiveness is by far better than my other trial brands for the past year.

Getting to know Neways - Green, Natural, Against Animal Testing

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

Many are not aware of the existence of another MLM brand called Neways. Just like Amways and other types of MLM. I will not go into all the products as I only tried out selected items which I highly recommended. Neways claimed to be very natural and safe without animal testing and is a Green brand. I am into beauty blogging for 2 years now, I detest oral medicine to keep skin beautiful and I have no good result from drugstore collagen - Kinohimitsu but I highly recommend and is a must to every woman that is seeking beauty beyond years - Beaute Nectar from Neways. It is unlike collagen drink, it is made of plants and berries for skin goodness though it helps on peptides (which collagen does). The normal collagen cannot see any result plus give me bloated body with overflowing of menses and worse not helping of my skin at all.

Beaute Nectar is otherwise. Does not affect my menses and is result oriented. One can see after taking 3 bottles. Skin is radiance, even skin tone and the best is redness indeed subside. No longer that blushing. The con side is after a month, I find myself become plump. Hahahaha...not bloated but become plump. Hence, not to waste my effort and money, I diligently taking it for 3 months before stopping. Then I will find alternative way to maintain it. It comes in 12 bottles/box of RM198. Is super costly. To stop halfways is not that wise. After achieving my favourable skin, I chose Collastin collagen to maintain my skin. The famous anchor Amber Chia recommended it. So I gave it a shot. 24 sachets/box of RM168. More or less the same as Beaute Nectar, also from plants and berries plus Rose..so it is in dark pink drink. Tasted berries. Beaute Nectar is sourish so is taken after meal. Gastric people makesure to have full meal before taking Beaute Nectar, however, Collastin is not acidic so is taken on empty stomach in the morning. I will not take this for long as I was introduced to Royal Jelly which cost around RM8x/box from another MLM company called NCI. When I was small, my mom had been taking royal jelly so did my grandma. But they bought it at Chinese Hall. My mom had stopped consuming, not because of any harmful thing but mainly the person she used to bought it had passed away so did the shop had closed down.

As for Neways products, I find the Sunblock is best and outstanding. Non greasy neither cause any oiliness after hours of wearing it. Visible help on sunburn meaning will not cause my delicate skin red even expose to sunlight. Definitely non clogging pores. All my years in trial and error of skincare, each day when I double cleanse by using cotton to wipe off method, I saw yellowish cotton but not when I am using Neways sunblock. The cotton still remain white. So I know how good this product is. Best part is do not need to double cleanse when only wear its' sunblock. I tried only wash single time, still not causing disaster to my skin. Plus will not give greasiness during the day. This is one of the best sunblock ever that most importantly suit my skin best which I did not get such result from other brands.

Another rave product is Wrinkle Drop. Totally water based serum in droplet plastic bottle. Very good product. Can use on eye areas. Helps on scar recovery and pimple is visibly shrink with no inflammation. Suppose to help on fine lines but I have no lines issue so I do not see how true to it but for pimples and scar I do see result instantly so I bet it speaks. Thumbs Up!

Tried Moisturizers - Aftersun Lotion and AM moisturizer. Both mild to my skin with no breakouts. Alas, not hydrate enough. I feel tight after hours later. Will not give me too much grease pan compare to other moisturizers. Somehow not too bad products. Just that I feel there is always an alternative and space for me to seek much better one or suit me one.

Mouthwash and toothpaste - said to be abled to use on adult and child. To me, so so products. Still prefer my Darlie paste. hahahaha...Mouthwash indeed a miracle water in a way. I gargle when I was about to feel sorethroat, just heal the next day. Good one for mouth odour. I tried before when I had onion or garlic food, rinse it and you have fresh mouth. But to me, not so necessary.

Body wash - also adult and child. Can re-purchase. Have bubble and easy to wash. Can feel it is mild as no stripping. Is colourless and odourless.

Bare in mind, Neways is natural and safe products. Very gentle to even consume it. That is how confident their company is. So it depends on individual thinking, if you prefer such products, is worthy to use Neways products. Price reasonable except the Beaute Nectar which is costly. Bath and skincare are reasonable.

Lancome UV BB Complete SPF50 VS H2O Plus CC SPF30

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

In hot and humid country where I am in, the highest SPF is recommended if outdoor too much. But it does not really work that way. I have to ask permission from my skin though :) With my fantastic result from Lancome skincare, well, not very satisfying on its' UV though. Although, I do not have break out by using its' UV Expert XL-Shield™ BB Complete Shield – Correct – Unify SPF50 PA++++ , there are 2 things which I do not like. First, skin is overly shiny even though I keep tissue off thinking it is sebum secretion but the truth it is not. Second, cause me blackhead. Must be too heavy for my large pores cum combi skin. The only thing I like of it is, it is BB complete which means give me better appearance. Cost RM175/tube.

As for FACE OASIS CC CREAM BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 30 PA+++ , is superb for my skin. SPF not heavy plus it is oil-free. So, I highly recommend this to combi to oily skin people. I do not have much to cover except sunburn (redness when under sun exposure/dehydrate), to be in the safe hand, I opt to use tinted UV. It is a very lightweight formula which does not clog pores. Pores are breathable. Non shiny skin effect. Matte outcome. Cost RM110/pump tube.

Both give good protection against UV as I do not sunburn easily. With my latest regime, I am sure it helps in a way too. Always go for suitable skincare to achieve flawless and resilient skin. Whatever color on top, remember to cleanse it well before bed with suitable cleanser. Skin will improve day after day. Next, I will blog down tips on skincare regimen to achieve smooth skin.

Stay Tune! :)

UPDATES** On Eminence Products/Facial

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

Hi all!! Jan 2014 almost is up..so fast isn't it? :) Before welcoming Chinese New Year, let me updates abit of my last post. I had my second facial experience with My Beauty Cottage (MBC) which carries Eminence products. I just fell in love with my facial spa ONCE AGAIN...AAaahhhHhhHh....so calming and relaxing..one just cannot deny this luxury pampering session. You can LIKE them in Facebook to receive its' updates..and you will come to know a few beauty magazines editors highly recommend Eminence facial spa. The only drawback of this brand is the pricing. :)..is indeed way too costly. One can alternatively find other brands that suit one's skin. No doubt, Eminence products indeed concentrated which is highly nutritious to skin. You can see and feel almost instant results. I spent on its' facial course, cost me RM2000++. I am going to stick to this for my monthly facial regime because I love to be massaged from head to toe :)  Best of all, they use hand and organic products without any machines. Always after facial, skin is alot healthier and better. What I like is, they will give me some trial size products to suit my that day skin. Maybe not everytime just when necessary.

Let me go in depth, on my 2nd visit, I had allergy red patch on my cheeks due to Bobbi Brown products and my skin was very sensitive too (redness and flushing). So the beautician was so kind to give me 2 trial size Tokay Ice Wine masks and 2 trial size Rosehip Whip Moisturizers. I was not given any on my 1st facial but on my 1st facial, my skin was normal. That is why I love it and felt touched when they even considerately help my skin out. Generous I would say :) Ta Da! my skin just soaked up everything and hence recover already. not even a week of my facial with the trial products given. I really appreciate and thank them. Making my sign up worthy!! My 3rd visit will be in Feb 2014. Very looking forward :)

As for the products, so far I have no negative write up. Because all just work wonder on my skin and almost NIL trouble given to my skin. I do not remember I have any trouble with the products. Making this brand a very good choice if you can afford it. I only purchased Tropical Vanilla Sunscreen - RM438/jar (please review in my last blog). By far, I must give credit to this sunblock, the best sunblock ever. Non oily or non greasiness at all and keep your skin hydrated whole day!! So is a keep for me :)

Because of the pricing and at the same time I just spent a bomb to sign up its' facial course, I do not intend to use its' skincare products. You know, I kind of broke after monthly of purchasing different brands with my own pocket money and try those out before blogging of my testimonials..hehehe..so, I am giving my pocket a rest. But, I highly recommend this products if you can afford!! Fret not, No pimples breakouts..so Ladies, rest assured :)

Conclusion - Sunblock and Facial a keep for me. Due to budget, I forgo its' skincare. I do love its' masks, so later on I may indulge on its' masks when my financial is not that tight.

How To Find the Best Dermatologist in Malaysia?

by noreply@blogger.com (Dr Frank Yap) @ Best Dermatologists Malaysia

This post is about finding the right dermatologist for your skin problem in Malaysia. If you have a skin related problem, you're likely to start by seeing your family or primary care doctor. But in some cases, you may be referred to a skin specialist (dermatologist).

With tons of low quality self-help e-books out there on skin disease treatment for acne, eczema, psoriasis etc., I am not surprised if you are confused and over-whelmed with treatment information or rather mis-information i.e. recommendations from Facebook friends, neighbors, emails, forum recommendations, search engine results etc. Before you buy a suspicious skin care product with 'too good to be true claims', do a quick check on Google. Use the product name as the search keywords and also add verification words like scam, hoax etc.

It's time to seek professional help before things get worse. If you are worried that a visit to a private dermatologist is expensive, try to see one in the government clinics. Most Ministry of Health tertiary hospitals will have a dermatology department.

Note: Just so that we are on the same page, a skin specialist is a dermatologist if he holds a professional medical degree with further post-graduate training in skin diseases. We wouldn't call someone working at a spa a skin specialist though. However, if you have a skin related problem and has not been well managed by a general practitioner, you may need to be referred to a skin specialist or dermatologist.

How To Find the Best Dermatologist in Malaysia?

Step 1: Read more about your condition from credible websites. Here are some recommended links:
Step 2: If your skin problem is mild, do consult your nearest pharmacist for recommendations. Pharmacists normally do not charge for consultation. So, feel free to talk to them.

Step 3: If your skin problem is getting worse, please consult your nearest qualified medical doctor or a skin specialist in Malaysia.

Popular Skin Specialists in Petaling Jaya (PJ), Malaysia 2017

by noreply@blogger.com (Dr Frank Yap) @ Best Dermatologists Malaysia

How many times have you tried Googling and asking your friends for recommended skin specialists, but found yourself confused and overwhelmed? If you are looking to find a skin specialist in PJ, this post was written with you in mind.

Skin Specialists or dermatologists are medically qualified doctors who provide a range of skin care services from treating simple skin conditions to diagnosis and management of more complicated skin cases. Just so that we are on the same page, a skin specialist is a dermatologist if he holds a professional medical degree with further post-graduate training in skin diseases. We wouldn't call someone working at a spa a skin specialist though, but if you have a skin related problem and has not been well managed by a general practitioner, you need to be referred to a skin specialist or a dermatologist. This post is about finding the right dermatologist for your skin problem in Petaling Jaya (PJ), Selangor.

If you have a skin related problem, you're likely to start by seeing your family or primary care doctor. But in some cases, you may be referred to a skin specialist (dermatologist). It's also likely that you would do a Google search first and decide from there. Would you rely on what you just read from the internet to decide?

With tons of low-quality self-help e-books out there on skin disease treatment for acne, eczema, psoriasis etc., we are not surprised if you are confused and overwhelmed with treatment information or rather misinformation i.e. recommendations from Facebook friends, neighbors, emails, forum recommendations, search engine results etc. Before you buy a suspicious skin care product with 'too good to be true claims', do a quick check on Google. Use the product name as the search keywords and also add verification words like scam, hoax etc.

As for the medical specialist selection, the online world provides overwhelming information and while some of the sites do provide the needed information; the method in which the clinics or the specialists are selected are not explained. Have the medical specialists been verified by checking with the National Specialist Register and the Malaysian Medical Council?

Other than the basic selection criteria, I would select a specialist based on experience and training as well as feedback from other specialists, doctors or customers. If you are worried that a visit to a private dermatologist is expensive, try to see one in the government clinics. Most Malaysian Ministry of Health tertiary hospitals will have a dermatology department.

Looking for Skin Specialists in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor? How to look for the best?

by noreply@blogger.com (Dr Frank Yap) @ Best Dermatologists Malaysia

Most skin specialists are based in Kuala Lumpur, or simply called KL by locals. And, just in case you are a foreigner, Kuala Lumpur is the federal capital and the largest city in Malaysia.

To select a skin specialist, many of us rely on a single recommendation by our family doctor (GP) or our Facebook friends, or even a random search through the Google search engine. However, choosing the right or the best skin specialist who is the most suitable for you and your condition may not be as simple as one might think.

If you do a Google search for 'best skin specialist in KL', you're just going to find all of the other skin specialist websites. Too many options and its hard to know where to begin.

Bear in mind that the dermatologist's high ranking on page 1 and visible advertisements on Google may not be truly reflective of the doctor's skills, experience and also how 'trustworthy' is the doctor. The skin specialist clinic's ranking and visibility depends on the Google Adwords advertising, Google's search engine algorithms and also can be manipulated by some SEO (search engine optimisation) professionals and tools.

Most medical skin specialists require an appointment but would also accept walk-in patients if their clinics are not too busy. To see a private skin specialist in KL, you do not need a GP (general practitioner) referral. You can just pick up the phone and make an appointment to see any skin specialists in Malaysia. However, if you wish to claim the specialist's fees from your medical insurer or your employer then you may need a referral letter from the panel GPs (General Practitioners) as per required by your medical insurer or your employer.

We have compiled a list of skin specialists in KL (Kuala Lumpur) who are registered with the National Specialist Register of Malaysia. Also, you may wish to click the following link for Reviews on Skin Specialists in Malaysia.

The Body Shop Skincare Products

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

Aloha! Time for another review blog..hehehe..Now is the time TBS is doing its' annual sales up to 70% in store or via online. Once again, I cannot resist the temptation, so I went to 'have a look' :) In the past, around last year I tried its' whitening range called Shiso. For sensitive and acne prone skin, is a big no-no to use this range or any other brand of whitening range products. Resulting blemishes popping. This time my haul is entirely different types of products:-

Vitamin E Toner Translucent thick liquid consistency. Abit stickier than other toner is because of Vit E oil is added. Pour generously on a cotton and pat/wipe across whole face avoiding eye areas. Smell of cottony light flower scent which does not linger but very relaxing. Packaging in pink plastic bottle with pour out cap. Easily absorb without residue behind. Face instantly feel fresh and hydrated. For AM use, will make you refresh and recharge before your day kicks in, PM use, will make you relax after a busy day and prep your mood for bed.

Nutriganics Drops of Youth So called plant stem cells for skin boosting purposes. In other words, stem cells for facial skin. Comes in a posh glass green see through bottle with a special droplet, instead of press and release the rubber tube, this one comes in white plastic push button from top. To be done with cap closed. Transparent liquid consistency. Is water based. Easily absorb. 2-3 drops on fingertips and warm with fingertips before slight patting all over face then spread across the face & neck from bottom up with upward motion. Stated for faster cells renewal instead of 28 days cycle. Smoothing and hydrates skin for first sign of aging. My experience : pores seem refined, less blackhead & whitehead!!Thumbs up! Skin absolutely smoothen and more radiant as days pass. Use AM & PM after toner. Light oragnic smell, not fragrant but does not linger. Almost nil smell. Is a must have item for all females.

Vitamin E Overnight Serum In Oil This is another must have item for all females. Is oil based but is not oily to the skin till the threat of causing clog pores or acne popping. Rest assured if you are blemish prone skin. Everyone knows Vit E is very good to skin so does Evening Primrose Oil. I have heaty blood so making me sick whenever I tried to consume vitamin. I had tried taking those to boost my skin but was not helping instead landed me sick most of the time.Cannot eat? Nevermind, paste on face instead :) Vit E is not only good in conditioning skin but it also helps in fading scar faster. So, combo with faster cell renewal (Drops of Youth) and Vit E serum oil make skin healthier rapidly and weak layer rapidly mended naturally by their natural ingredients. Transparent oil consistency. Not thick oil but lightweight type. 2-3 drops on fingertips, warm it up and pat lightly before massage from bottom with upward motion. Easily absorb without greasiness. Smell of flower cottony, stronger than its' Toner but does not linger long but boost your inner calm on you before bed. Definitely, helps you sleep well and soundly throughout the night. Packaging in posh pink glass bottle with white rubber droplet. Use PM only, after Toner - Drops of Youth. Promise up to 8 hrs hydration and I guarantee this is true!! Because I wake up with moist dewy skin. And soft and smooth. Must be combo of above 2 items.

Vitamin E Hydration Cream Day cream with the same smell in all products of Vit E range. Consistency is lightweight cream with faint pink color. For me is not sufficient hydration during day. Abit dehydrate feeling but not very bad. Went back to the beauty advisor, she said I can add a drop of Vitamin E Overnight Serum In Oil, blend together before spreading across face. Packaging in pink plastic jar with black plastic cover.

Tea Tree Pore Minimiser To be used AM after moisturizer, before makeup. Helps in term of shine free. Matte whole day. Tea Tree is very good for pimples skin and this greenish plastic tube is handy to give acne prone skin anti bacterial and de-clog pores. I have been having acne popping around my nose on and off for the past year, after having this for a week, I do not see any congestion besides pores much more refine. Consider, keep my skin in tip top condition. Prevent acne causing agent inhabiting in my skin.

Application for AM - Toner - Drops of Youth - Vit E Hydration Cream - Pore Minimiser - Sunblock
PM - Toner - Drops of Youth - Vit E Overnight Serum In Oil

For pampering, drop 2-3 drops of Vit E Overnight Serum In Oil into Vit E Hydration Cream, mix well before applying onto face during night. Will give much better result.

It has been a week since I started, full range as mentioned above around 2-3 days. Initially, I incorporate Drops of Youth & Pore Minimiser into my Shiseido Ibuki regime. So far so good, no outbreak yet. Instead, I see great improvement and help to my skin. Radiant and smoother than before. And Yes! THE TWO POWERFUL ELIXIRS are all a woman needs. I give 5/5 ratings. Best than my trial of K-Haul.

From now till June 8th is TBS sales so please visit www.thebodyshop.com.my now to view its' pricing and products or head down to TBS nearest to you. This is my reason of reviewing these products now so that to whom are interested to try out and worry of wasting money if it does not work out on you, at least now is the time to get these haul in cheapo price. If it works on you, is added bonus, if it does not work on you at least you get the items in discounted rate. With my sensitive and acne prone skin, I AM ALREADY SO SATISFIED, I am sure all of you out there will too. Is a very good brand which is cruelty free and earth friendly and the best is the pricing is economical. Plus, have frequent sales, regardless, mega or small. I just placed and online order this morning. Will review the products after try out. By then I will updates on above mentioned products whether sustain or failure like K-Products.

SHISEIDO: IBUKI LINE

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

I did not continue my Burt's Bees's Sensitive moisturizer after only a day or two used. Is not because of it is not good, it is because I indulged myself with Shiseido's newest range called Ibuki which replaces The Skincare Line. I bought its' Mother's Day set. Came with full size Night moisturizer - Refining Moisturizer and Softening Concentrate followed with travel size of Purifying Cleanser (comes with fine beads), The Skincare Purifying Mask, Softening Concentrate, Day Moisturizer - Protective Moisturizer SPF15 x 2 bottles, White Lucent Base and a jar of body cream. I have been using Shiseido on and off basis since I was in my teens and now I am in my early 30s'. In my early years I was pimply so I used its' Pureness range. I changed after years of using and came back to its' The Skincare Line when I was in my 20s'. Once again I was off the grid for the past 1 year doing my personal beauty blogging by using my own money to try out various skincare products which I had blogged about. Let's move on :- Before I started my Ibuki, I had red/pimple spots forming around my cheeks. Other than that, my skin is all right.

Purifying Cleanser

Mild daily scrub cum cleanser. Can be used day & night. The beads are very fine and not much till can over scrub my skin. Cleanses pore and skin very well. No after wash tight feeling. Skin is squeaky smooth and yet hydrated not drying off my skin at all. Well suited for those with large pores and oily/combo skin like mine. Texture is creamy champagne white, mildly scented, easily foam up. Another cleanser is Gentle Cleanser - is only foam wash without beads. For normal and dry skin type and also for day & night use.

Softening Concentrate

For Japanese skincare, there is no toner unlike western brands. Step 2 is always the Prep Step. Meaning prepare skin for better absorption after wash. Skin will improve from the stated function that Serum/Essence & Moisturizer claimed to promise. In Japanese often will name it as Softener or Lotion. They do have toner which is called Astringent - to be applied after moisturizer. Function is to tighten up pores/seal all the goodness in the skin. But Ibuki has no Astringent. Ibuki Softening Concentrate - use with cotton pad. Pump 2 pumps, spread all over face & neck. Is refreshing with lightly scented that does not linger. Texture is transparent liquidy serum like. Comes in a plastic opaque bottle of 75ML (>RM100 - <RM170) with pump head and a cover (is hygienic to have a cover to cover the opening as some brands leave the pump open) Easily absorb. Method on application can be viewed at YouTube Shiseido 1-2-3 Steps.

Protective Moisturizer with SPF15

Is day moisturizer. Texture is lotion white, mildly scented and end result is shining/brightening. I always use this with cotton pad. Pump 2 pumps and spread across my face & neck. Method can view at YouTube as mentioned above. Alternative way is to use by hand. I was advised to use with cotton as I have delicate skin with weak protective barrier. Skin type of redness, acne-prone be advised to use with cotton. Normal & dry skin type, use hand will do. Packaging is the same as Softening Concentrate mentioned above so as the pricing range.

Refining Moisturizer

Is night moisturizer. Texture is lotion white (slightly creamier than day moisturizer), mildly scented and end result has no shining/brightening effect. Application is the same as day moisturizer. Method can view at YouTube with the clip name as mentioned above. Suitable for Acne Prone but dehydrate, large pores and combo/oily skin. Another night moisturizer called Refining Moisturizer Enriched (comes in a jar) is for dry skin type. Back to Refining Moisturizer - Packaging and pricing range are the same as Softening Concentrate & Protective Moisturizer.

Result is indeed less rubbing contact with my fingers pressure, therefore, my skin has no redness and is alot healthier which leave no sticky or greasy layer over my face. My skin has the tendency of not absorbing fast. So, by using cotton will allow my skin to drink up whatever it can absorb by not overdose and the remaining will be on cotton and be used around my neck. Yes, by using fingers can also spread the remaining on decollete area but the difference is Cotton - gentle 1 stroke followed by rubbing hand and pat for better absorption will do the wonder; Hand - need to keep rubbing and pressing till fully absorb can mean that I directly active my circulation hence leading to redness and losing collagen resulting to sagging. After a month of using this Lotion with cotton, my skin is tighten and firm unlike previous skin is sagging and lose elasticity. Proof : This time around when I squeezed my nose impurities, I feel my skin is hardened/tight which make the squeezing easy just by pressing 2 sides. In the past, skin soft as in lack of elasticity causing me difficulties to squeeze out the impurities. I had to squeeze 360 deg and so forth causing redness/damage of capillaries and slow degrading of collagen.

This range is for hydration purpose and I GUARANTTEE you that IT INDEED LIVES UP TO WHAT IT CLAIMS TO DELIVER. I used before its The Skincare Line, is also hydration purpose but it is oilier and rich abit than Ibuki. Ibuki delivers high hydration level and yet is light and refreshing. Very well suited for those dehydrate skin and yet cannot receive heavy formula at the same time like mine. When I used The Skincare Line, I did breakout after awhile but not major and skin was oily when noon came. Skin still redness after I left my home. But with Ibuki, is another experience altogether. Is refreshingly light and matte. Hydration is at the peak as my red spots disappear and abit glowy when noon comes instead of a wok of oil type :) I do not feel tight or tingling feeling instead I feel normal and comfy. My environment is still the same - air condition most of the time. Cannot under sun/heat otherwise my face will turn red but now skin is much more stable. It simply perks up my skin.

The SkinCare Purifying Mask

Is a must have to all. Whenever I am about to pop a pimple, I use this mask. Texture is light brownish paste with beads. It dries up fast. Leave on for 5 mins on a cleanse dry face, avoid eye area. Wash off then pat dry before using moisturize mask (either sheet mask or wash off mask). Proceed with usual skincare regimen. This mask is my savor. I remembered clearly that I had 1 pimple on my chin. I used this and immediately dried up and disappear after a few days. So, I have been using this mask twice weekly. All lovelies, rest assured, this mask is worth every penny because I have been using this whenever I use Shiseido range and this mask has been with the brand for decades already and I am the living proof. It comes in a tube. Purpose of this mask is to clear impurities, control oil secretion and helps heal pimples. Suitable for all skin type. Is a mild and yet effective mask. At least, it works on mine.

Perfect UV Protector 50ml / SPF50+ PA++++

All eyes and ears on me please, dearies princesses PLEASE GET YOUR HAND ON THIS PRODUCT!!! MY BIGGEST AND BEST BREAKTHROUGH PRODUCT I ever lay hand on. Was persuaded by the Beauty Advisor to get this because I went to the counter with the intention of getting its' White Lucent range but was told to better stick to hydration line as my skin is not stable with acne prone history. To counter my redness & brown spot, she said sunblock is the key to it (in fact, all BA says that and always their sunblock fails me). Well for Shiseido, I give it a try. And Whoa! Amazed me enough to finish 1 bottle in a month !!Hahaha...I rarely finish sunblock. The only sunblock I finished and repurchased was Biotherm. I blogged before of Eminence Tropical Vanilla Sunscreen - also a thumbs up. But I did not finish, I still have it in my dresser. But this Shiseido UV Protector is BY FAR THE BEST IN THE MARKET and better than Biotherm & Eminence. It comes in plastic bottle, need to shake before every use. Ideally for all face skin type AND ARMS AND LEGS. Isn't it marvellous??!! How can I not finish that fast?...Yes, I use this daily on face, decollete and arms only. And once again, Yes I did mention my skin cannot take SPF50 but for this it works fine. After a month of using, I can assure you that skin is superb and no breakout. Best of it is, it is not oily. Really protect my skin 360 deg as it claims to deliver. No redness and matte the whole day. Can say byebye to sunburn. Price RM130.00. Texture is liquid white with a faint pinkish/beige color. Easily absorb. No regrets!! I have since stop using foundation or base after I started this sunblock. My purpose of using foundation or base is to lighten up my redness but now I do not need so.

Conclusion: Now my beauty regime consisting of above. I am utmost happy and very satisfied with the result and the products. Simple regime - Cleanse, Softener, Moisturizer - Sunblock. I give 5/5 for these products. What boosted this? When I started also coincidentally my son had diarrhea and vomiting for a week, followed by another week of KOSAKI which resulted me sleepless nights for 2 whole weeks and on the 3rd week, I was down with sickness myself so a total of 3 improper rest weeks. But surprisingly, my skin has no sign of fatigue or pimples popping up. Everything is at bay, control very well. For the Korean products I blogged about were either I tried a week or so but soon after things cropped up. At least this one I have been using for more than a month now and still using. After a period of cycle, I think this line is BEST.

Product Duration: - Ibuki Softener will use up by a month, Moisturizer 2 months because each uses once a day, Sunblock by a month if includes arms and about 2 months for face & decollete, mask depends on your frequency about 2-3 months and finally cleanser monthly if uses twice a day but so far I am using once a day (night) so can last 2 months. I left out Ibuki Eye Correcting Cream - There you go the whole range of Ibuki. I did not get the eye cream so I cannot comment about it. Will do when I lay my hand on it :)

Side Personal Opinion: Shiseido is a good and reliable brand back in Japan and all over the globe. It has good reputation and sales market. My hubby works in a Japanese company which also produce skincare in one of its' business lines (my hubby is not under skincare line but he can purchase for me), their skincare is only for sale in Japan. So, when my hubby goes over for meetings, he was told that in Skincare market, Shiseido outdo all brands. It has been around us for more than a century and still the reputation is at the peak. So, my hubby told me to use back Shiseido brand which I am doing so now after my a year long of trying various brands for my beauty blogging hobby. Additionally, my hubby is using Shiseido Men cleanser for sometimes too. He claims to control facial oil very well and he has no outbreak problems. In the past, I passed on my unwanted cleanser to him to finish off , often he ended up with breakout and oily face when noon came. Without using anything to counter the problems, he just uses Shiseido Cleanser and gradually and fast too he reclaims his original good skin. Since then, he sticks to it.

K-Beauty : Concentrated Reviews on Etude House Products - Makeup

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

Let's move on to EH Makeup.

Face Conditioning Cream Yay!! I finally landed my hand on this. They re-stock, so I quickly grabbed it up before it runs out again. With the raving, yup!! The best cream ever. Amazing I would say. I tried 2 ways. 1st - apply after toner then proceed with CC Silky Cream then pat some powder over. 2nd - apply after moisturizer then CC Silky Cream and lastly powder. Both give me good makeup adherence which means lasting. Skin tone definitely even out and skin is moist and plumped. Even when after removing at the end of the day, my skin is comfortably supple. As stated, it is skincare cum primer. Comes in tube. White cream but very easily spread over face. No cakey instead after a few seconds of application, skin transforms to healthy and supple. Can use on its' own or layer your makeup over. Definitely moisturizing to skin so one does not need to worry if use without moisturizer. Both my attempts ended pretty much the same. I do not feel dehydrate. A very good primer, makes makeup alot more prettier :) Without using this, CC Silky + Powder, in my last blog I did mention not very satisfying compare to The Faceshop Powder. After using the infamous face cream, EH CC Silky + Powder have become amazing result. Appearance smooth and supple and healthy and the best part is looks natural as with my neck tone. Not heavy but comfortably and at times I am totally forgot I actually put make up on :) Blek! Oh ya, with this FCC, makeup amount greatly reduced. Previously, I use 1 pump CC and a few times of powder pat. When in use with this, Half pump is already sufficient and 2 times of powder pat for full face. It is SPF 30 and promise of several goodness of skincare and one of them is Anti-wrinkle. Ratings: 5/5 (Star Product)

CC Silky Cream Comes in tube but the cap is pump type instead of squeeze out. White liquid consistency with greyish sparkle dots. After blend will match our skin tone. Silky is meant for oily skin because after sebum secretion will make it looks dewy and radiant. CC Bright is meant for dry skin as it will brighten up dull skin. If use on its' own, I may not re-purchase as it is not exceptionally good. I can always seek other brands. Before I got FCC, I actually put this away from my stash. But now, I am using it quite regularly. With FCC, can go without powder but because I do not like stickiness (do not get me wrong, it is not sticky as in liquid foundation or what, just I prefer matte powdery finishing) so I always layer a thin layer of powder as finishing. With FCC, the adherence is superb and skin tone is amazingly even out, making my skin looks so much healthily brighten. Importantly, natural finishing. Light makeup with small coverage but does a good job on even out skin tone though. SPF 30. Ratings : 3.5/5 (only because it needs FCC to boost the performance)

Foundation Powder It stands out than The Faceshop Powder in terms of matching skin tone with me. Remember in my previous blog, I mentioned that The Faceshop lightest color makes me whitish but with EH powder in lightest tone is superbly match mine. Can pass as natural finish and is comfortably light. Where as in The Faceshop Powder, it always gives me ticklish nostrils and sneezing as I am a sinus person. So I presumed, EH powder particles are much more fine than The Faceshop and also not thick as in The Faceshop too. Without FCC, after sebum secretion will make it looks cakey abit even when use it over CC cream. That is why I minus some points on its' CC + Powder. The only thing I like is match my skin tone very well and light feeling. I do not feel like I actually putting powder makeup on face. Added bonus. I do like to use it as finishing powder though. I have not tried using it alone or alone after FCC. If I do try, I will update my blog. I do not remember whether its' powder comes in SPF. Maybe not. But it definitely comes in a lovely pink plastic pact. Ratings: 5/5

All above has no choking fragrance. No scent I would say, if there is, is only lightly which does not linger. The products are light on skin which I do not feel heavy or burden my skin and yet effective because I quite like the outcome which makes me look natural with minimal makeup. It is so lightly that can pass that I have natural good skin especially the Face Conditioning Cream. It is indeed does the whole wonder thing on my skin. Covers up pores quite well meaning visibly shrunk/tighten. Whoever long for healthy natural skin, FCC is the product you need to add into your regime. As makeup junky, FCC also a must have as it gives good adherence that leaves skin look smooth. The products above claim to control sebum but to me is only so-so. I still need to blot my face once a day. Still can see shiny oil secretion when noon comes. That is why I blot it. hehehe...On cooler days like rainy, sebum is quite obedient. On the other hand, on hot sunny days, sebum is naughty :)

Conclusion: Re-purchasing will depend greatly on FCC. If I re-purchase FCC then I will very likely re-purchase CC + Powder. As I do not like to mix and match different brands. I have yet to try powder itself on FCC, if it works well too, I will highly drop off CC cream. FCC is definitely on my re-purchase list as on a rush days, I can only use this and save on moisturizer and sunblock. Powder is in my re-purchase list as well because EH powder tone matches mine perfectly and is of fine powder. All in all, after blot, appearance is back to powdery matte finishing. No doubt, FCC can make me looks much more dewy and radiant. Usually if I have to blot, it is evening hours not noon.

Precious Mineral Any Cushion With this, I can omit all above steps. LOLX...I am serious. Although FCC is the rave but depends on what kind of outcome one chooses. For my very personal experience, Any Cushion is thicker than above applications even though 3 layers of products. But Any Cushion saves ALOT ALOT of time. A superb item for rush working women. I cannot use Laneige BB Cushion. I tried twice, both gave me breakout and clogged pores after single use!! So, it gives me some time to gather some courage to try this Any Cushion. Laneige has strong scent but not EH. This is not as thick as Laneige BB Cushion. It has SPF50. In my previous blogs I mentioned sunblock above 30 always gives my skin breakout or un-breathable but Any Cushion does not break me out after a few days trial. Upon application is cooling and gives medium-high coverage. I do not have issue on coverage as I am quite pleased with my skin in recent years ( I have to note here because in my younger days I have very bad skin than now, some readers may find my reviews not matching as to why sometimes I am good sometimes I am of bad skin. If confusing occurs, please kindly review my older blogs) Conclusion: I only apply single layer and is more than enough. Smooth and radiant and definite dewy. Sebum wise is also so-so, need to blot once a day. The one I got is new packing than the old one - used to be pink but now the casing is in pearly white. Cost me RM>100, maybe RM101.90 and I do not know how long can it last but I suspect with frequent use may not last long as well. Kind of expesive. It is cheaper if you look at another angle where you save on sunblock, primer/base, and foundation. And yes, it matches my skin tone very well and makes my feature sharper too!! Will re-purchase. Ratings: 5/5

Review on Lancome Skincare - Hydra Zen, Visionnaire

by noreply@blogger.com (Tien) @ Journey of my Life

Good Day to all lovelies!!
It's been awhile since I last blog on beauty products, I have been testing out Lancome skincare for a month now. My previous experience with France brands were not satisfying (L'occitane & Clarins). Both break me out, especially L'occitane. Both need not help on my dehydration redness too. When testing out Lancome, my skin is alot more stable than before - much more hydrated and only menses pimple occur when the cycle comes which resulted only 1-2.

Lancome Alcohol Free Toner I got this as free gift. Come in travel size blue transparent bottle. Water with refreshing smell. Application - wipe with cotton day & night on cleansed skin. A good toner for sensitive skin as it is mild and conditioned skin well. I do not see any effect after a bottle use neither any cons as well. No speciality apart a typical toner.

Lancome Hydra Zen Moisturizing Aqua Gel I got this as free gift. Come in travel size pinkish transparent bottle. As the name itself, indeed a unique type of toner. My first experience with gel type toner. The gel is transparent with lightly flower smell. Application - direct on palm, spread around the face after blend with both palms and lightly pat to absorb. Easily absorb without greasiness. Zen means calming plus the hydration, well really combat stress skin very effectively. I highly recommend to stress or dehydrated and redness skin people to try this range out. Skin instantly moisturized. Will definitely re-purchase.

Lancome Hydra Zen Cream-gel Moisturizer Bought this for RM200.00 per glass jar. Opaque with pink cap. A good type of moisturizer for day & night specifically for combi-oily skin. Neither rich nor too light texture. Application - usually I will warm in between my middle and ring fingers before pressing on cheeks, forehead, nose then chin. Spread/blend from inner to outer after that. Start from chin and slowly up (this way will give skin firming and better absorption for our pores). Finish it with lightly pressing. No oiliness or greasiness. Fully absorb. Leave skin moisture plump. With lightly flower scented, well make my day :) The gel cream is in white color. I do not feel any dehydration occur during my 1 month trial, so it is a good moisturizer for air-conditioned skin even at night.

Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector - Wrinkles, Pores, Evenness Bought this for RM200++ (sorry, I can't remember) Ocean Bluish plastic pump bottle. White emulsion type. Application - 1 pump for full face. Warm in between fingers and spread all over face even eye areas. Lightly pat for better absorption. Day & night after toner before moisturizer. I came across a review mentioned it contained silicon and can cause congestion and break out for unstable skin. So far, I have neither of those happen. So, I do not know how true that claimed was but mostly depend on individual skin. On the contrary, my skin responds to it extremely well. Very positive result. Only after a day used, I can see visible result on my large pores became tighten. Needless to say, after a month, it kind of stays that way - my large pores seem smaller now. No muscle on our face skin, that is why pores become large cannot shrink. But this outstanding serum can help on tightening and firming of skin. It claims to combat on 3 things (Wrinkle, Pore and Evenness), I can confirm it really works on 2/3. Besides positive result on my pores, my skin is smooth with no more uneven tone. I used to have red dots on my cheeks, but now totally disappear. As for wrinkle, well I am in my early 30's and I do not have any visible wrinkle that I am aware of so I cannot tell whether it really works on that. I can never use serum, regardless, of any brands. Will break me out. But it does not happen with this plus it helps to boost my skin condition. Another finding is it helps to clear impurities inside the pores. I can feel my skin is clean and light. If I have a congested area, takes 3 days to heal - 1st day slightly pain and bump appear, 2nd day pain is intense but by noon come, disappear followed by pus appearing without any inflammation and finally 3rd day recover.

Lancome  Galatéis Douceur Gentle Softening Cleansing Fluid Face & Eyes One of the best makeup remover. My another like is Shu Uemura cleansing oil. But now this has my heart being replaced :) Bought it at RM150 per 400ml plastic white pump bottle. Great isn't it? Is affordable. Cleansing white milk. More on watery milk texture than the typical milk cleanser formula. After blending on skin, it becomes emulsifies more watery. Best is it is cooling on contact to skin! Usually when I double cleansed my skin, always will feel tight or overly dry as I have very thin layer of skin that is why my face is prone to sensitivity or acne. But this cleansing fluid is really outstanding. Not only does not trigger my skin, it actually soften my skin plus can clean around eye area. A good to go in a hurry to clean away eye shadow/base. For intense eye make up with mascara, best to use eye makeup remover. Nicely scented as well though not strong. Application - 4-5 pumps.

Lancome Mousse Eclat Express Clarifying Self-Foaming Cleanser Another one of the best foam cleanser I ever used. Flowery scented. Does not over dry my skin after my cleansing fluid. Can be used on its' own ( eg. in the morning or at night if without UV or Makeup). Clean quite well. Come in white plastic pump bottle. Bought for the price of RM100 per 200ml. Application - day & night, 1-1.5 pumps for entire face.

Through out my month long and still on going, I do not have any redness or break out occur. No dehydration or over drying too. Skin is much more resilient. Is affordable for certain items like cleanser and toner because it comes in RM150/400ml. Can use for several months. Serum and moisturizer are slightly expensive but does not require to use large amount hence, is durable. Importantly, I see result day after day and motivates me. This brand really give me faith and I am much more confident to leave my skin to Lancome expertise. I do not know why I am afraid to try out new brands now after landing my hands on Lancome. Maybe, I really do want to keep my current condition.
